SARS-CoV-2 is spread by respiratory droplets and through airborne transmission. It is critical for workers performing high-risk procedures to utilize the most effective respiratory protection based on the task. This webinar will review exposure determination, transmission-based precautions, the difference between surgical masks and N-95 respirators, the Respiratory Protection Standard, and fit testing.

Check out our Written Respiratory Protection Plan!

Join Karen Gregory, RN as she walks through the creation and implementation of a respiratory protection program and explains why fit testing was never waived as a requirement by OSHA.

This session will cover the following:

  • ASTM mask level and respirators
  • Respiratory Protection Plan
  • Fit-testing requirements and a review of the fit testing process.

At the end of this session, the attendee will:

  • Discuss the different types of respiratory protection
  • Review elements of a respiratory protection program
  • Identify key elements in fit testing.
