HIPAA Compliance In-Office Program

The HIPAA Compliance Program is designed to bring your office into compliance with the HIPAA Privacy and Security Rules and to help you stay in compliance year round with continuing service and support. A TMC consultant will work with you to customize the HIPAA Compliance Manual, which contains the documentation required by the regulations on privacy and security. Operating forms are included in the HIPAA compliance  manual as well as on the TMC web site for ease of customization for your office..  HIPAA ComplianceManuals are updated annually to reflect any changes required by regulatory updates such as those changes required by HITECH.

Office and Program Review

The TMC consultant works with your Privacy and Security Officers to design a HIPAA compliance Program that will reduce risk for your office. As part of the program an office inspection, current program and patient form review and Security Risk Analysis will be completed to identify gaps between current compliance processes and the regulatory requirements.

Employee Training

The employee training session, conducted by the TMC consultant, covers the HIPAA compliance requirement for the Privacy and Security Rule as well as behaviors, specific to your practice. Your employees will understand their role in complying with the regulation and dealing with patient rights. Online HIPAA training is available for new hires or workers not able to attend the on-site employee training.

• Recall basics protections for patients outlined in the Privacy Rule.

Privacy/Security Officer Training Webinar

Recommended for the new Privacy/Security Officer or the officer needing a review of basics concepts, this introductory level webinar is offered on a monthly basis. In this two-hour webinar session, the required elements of an effective program, the role of the Safety/Privacy Officer, and a review of the Security Risk Analysis is provided.

Customized Compliance Manual

The manual includes policies required by the HIPAA regulations as well as any changes required by HITECH. Forms are provided in the manual and on the website in electronic format to assist with documentation necessary to comply with the Privacy and Security Rules a. Employee Online HIPAA Training
All employees can receive the required HIPAA training at a time convenient for them through online training. Resource documents which provide suggestions and requirements for office specific information that must be covered for HIPAA compliance are also included with the training.
