The HITECH section of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA), signed into law in February of 2009, mandated some very significant changes in the HIPAA regulations.
Breach regulations were effective September 23, 2010, some changes took effect February 2011 but other regulatory changes will continue to phase-in over the next few years. HITECH Act Webinar for Business Associates – Are You Ready to be a Covered Entity?
