Bill Fivek President and CEO

Bill joined the company in 2005.  Bill worked with Motorola for over 20 years in technology and customer service, prior to joining TMC.  Bill has been a technical educator for over 27 years. He has given various technical presentations to diverse audiences worldwide. He has passed the required training to be recognized by the US Department of Labor to be an OSHA General Industry Outreach Trainer in March of 2006.  Bill graduated in 1984 with a BSEE from the University of Delaware.

Debra has a BS in Biology from Erskine University and 2 years of postgraduate work in Genetics Biology at the University of South Carolina. Debra is a specialist with OSHA and HIPAA issues and citations, and assists our clients with resolving their most difficult matters.

Karen Gregory

Karen Gregory, RN Director of Compliance and Education

Karen has over 20 years’ experience working in the outpatient environment, both at the front line delivering patient care and in the management arena. She is passionate about both employee and patient safety, and takes every possible opportunity to improve the quality of healthcare for all involved.  Karen joined Total Medical Compliance in 2006 as Director of Compliance and Education where she is responsible for the development and supervision of compliance programs within the organization. TMC provides onsite OSHA, infection control, HIPAA compliance solutions to dental and medical practices as well as seminars and webinars on various compliance issues.Karen is a requested speaker at local and state medical and dental meetings, and was a presenter at the 2010 Hinman Dental Meeting, the 2011 OSAP Symposium and the 2012 Federal Dental Services Infection Prevention and Control Course. She is on the Editorial Review Board for Infection Control in Practice and is a frequent contributor of articles in local and state organizational newsletters and magazines. Karen has been recognized as a Hu-Friedy Thought Leader.

Nichole joined Total Medical Compliance in 2011 and has become our Director of Marketing.  She also helps with business development.  Prior to joining TMC, Nichole owned and was marketer for her family business.

Jo Gervais Business Office Manager

Before coming to work for TMC, Jo was most recently employed by large hospital based physician group as a practice manager for a large internal medicine group for 7 years.  Her experience in practice management has led her through the years working for an internal medicine group; a psychiatric/psychology group; a chiropractic group and a large orthopaedic group.  Before practice management, she worked for the American Academy of Physician Assistants as the CME Coordinator in Alexandria, VA while my husband was stationed in the US Army.  She enjoys spending time with her family, especially on trips to the beautiful coast of North Carolina.

Elizabeth J. Cahill (BJ) TMC Consultant

BJ Cahill joined TMC with over twenty years of hands on experience in risk management, loss control and claims analysis in both the public and private sectors. She is a veteran of the US Air Force and although she has much experience in the Logistics and Safety fields, she’s proud to have been in the second class of women officers in the Munitions Maintenance field in the USAF. She’s travelled very extensively and has quite a few exciting experiences from her time in the military.Prior to joining TMC, BJ was the Corporate Risk Manager and Safety Director for Medical Services of America, Inc. in Columbia, SC.  MSA is one of the largest companies in the country providing home health and hospice care, as well as providing home health equipment. They have over 260 locations throughout 15 states. As a result of these experiences BJ is the ideal candidate to deliver bloodborne pathogen, hazard communication and other safety training in outpatient healthcare practices.As well as consulting for TMC, BJ is also an independent contractor, and occasionally performs loss control surveys and inspections for various insurance carriers. She currently covers the regional area of NC, SC, and northerncoastal GA. Her varied experiences in the military, insurance industry and many years as a corporate risk manager, provides a wealth of experience to the TMC clients..

Susan Vogel Little, RN, TMC Consultant

Susan brings over thirty years of experience as a Registered Nurse to TMC.  Her experience includes providing direct patient care in a hospital setting and most recently as an Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) Director.  During her tenure in the ASC arena, Susan was responsible for providing continuing education to staff and physicians in the areas of infection control, risk management and safety issues. She understands this education is an integral part of delivering excellent patient care in a safe environment.  Susan is a native of Charlotte. She enjoys spending time with her family, especially at Ocean Isle Beach, NC.

Janice Boyd, MT(ASCP) TMC Consultant

Janice has extensive experience working in the healthcare industry. Through her experience working in the out-patient arena providing direct patient care she is the ideal candidate for delivery of training on bloodborne pathogens, hazard communications, and other safety issues inherent in the small physician or dental practice. Prior to joining TMC, Janice worked as a medical technologist providing her the opportunity to understand the operational issues or challenges involved in providing a safe work environment. Janice joined Total Medical Compliance in 2001 and is consistently involved in the delivery of over 100 employee safety trainings each year.

Linda Stewart, CDA, MA TMC Consultant

Linda has over 35 years experience in dental education. Her teaching and administrative experience included appointments in both community college and university settings.  She joined Total Medical Compliance in 2010 after retiring from the position of Risk Manager at the University of North Carolina School Of Dentistry.  Her responsibilities included developing, implementing and evaluating institutional policies on infection control, exposure incidents and safety.  As a patient advocate, she also served as the liaison with the institution’s malpractice carrier. Linda received her bachelor’s degree in Dental Auxiliary Education from the University of North Carolina in 1973 and completed a Master of Arts in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of North Carolina in 1986. While serving as a faculty member at the UNC School of Dentistry, Linda was active in presenting continuing education programs on the local, state and national levels.   In 2009 Linda spoke on Risk Management to the British Dental Association at their annual session in Glasgow, Scotland. Linda is an ideal candidate to provide employee safety training. Her experience at the corporate level and chair side delivering care provide her the unique ability to identify safety issues in the outpatient environment.

Pam Wilson TMC Consultant

Pam has more than 25 years of experience working in the healthcare industry. Because of her work providing direct patient care and functioning as the Safety Officer in physician practices, she is the ideal candidate for delivery of employee training on bloodborne pathogens, hazard communications, and other safety issues inherent in the small physician or dental practice. Pam joined Total Medical Compliance in 2001 and is consistently in involved in the delivery of over 100 employee safety trainings each year.  She recently successfully completed the OTI511 course, Occupational and Health Standards for General Industry.

Rebecca Sibley TMC Consultant

Rebecca joined Total Medical Compliance in 2003 and has consistently worked with clients in medical and dental practices assisting them in their efforts to comply with OSHA standards on bloodborne pathogens, hazard communications, and other safety issues inherent in the outpatient area. Rebecca holds a BS in Business and prior to joining TMC, worked in several healthcare environments. Rick Gregory TMC Consultant

Rick Gregory brings 30 years of experience from the corporate shipping industry. He was Senior Manager for FEDEX and was responsible for oversight and safety of well over 200 employees. As part of his function, he was involved in training on appropriate handling of hazardous materials in addition to other safety issues including ergonomic concerns. During his tenure at FEDEX Rick was involved in numerous committees addressing flow processes and employee safety. From his experience he is able to speak to employee safety and health issues as well as standards for protection of sensitive information. Rick’s strong presentation skills and ability to engage his audience are a key component of effective safety training.

Yolanda Rouse TMC Consultant

Yolanda Rouse has over 23 years of experience in dental practices delivering patient care as a certified dental assistant Yolanda was responsible for assisting the dentist with various procedures, cleaning and sterilization of instrumentation and performing radiology procedures.  Additionally, Yolanda served as the OSHA compliance officer in many of her practices affording her the opportunity to understand the regulations applying to employee safety in the healthcare environment. Through her experience working in the out-patient arena she is the ideal candidate for delivery of training on bloodborne pathogens, hazard communications, and other safety issues inherent in the small physician or dental practice.

Heidi Erdos, CDA TMC Consultant

Heidi has over 14 years experience working in the dental field.  As a certified dental assistant Heidi has vast experience with the technical challenges and operations of the dental practice. As part of her role in various dental practices she was responsible for instrument processing, chair side delivery of care which included radiology services and for oversight of the practices’ OSHA program. Through her years of experience working with OSHA standards she developed a keen understanding of the rules and enforcement standards. Heidi has her certification to be a dental assistant and is certified to take dental x-rays which included digital x-rays.

Sandi Addis, RDH TMC Consultant

Sandi has provided dental services for a wide realm of dentistry in metro Atlanta and North Georgia for over 19 years as well as contract work with the U.S. military.  She has presented oral health education to special needs and underserved populations in the United States, Europe and South America. Being an advocate for safety in the work place, Sandi has also contributed in writing Health and Safety Standards as an inclusion in a Unified Development Code as a city council member. Sandi joined TMC in 2010 as a consultant and enjoys providing facility audits and onsite OSHA and HIPAA training in Georgia, Alabama, Louisiana, North Carolina, Missouri, Kansas and Texas. She has successfully completed the OTI511 course, Occupational and Health Standards for General Industry.

Nancy Clark, RN, BSN TMC Consultant

Nancy has 25 years’ experience as a Registered Nurse working in the hospital environment. Through her experience working in the inpatient arena and surgical environment providing direct patient care she is the ideal candidate for delivery of training on bloodborne pathogens, hazard communications, and other safety issues inherent in the small physician or dental practice. Nancy joined TMC in 2011 as a consultant. Prior to joining TMC, she worked as a Charge nurse in a surgical care unit providing her the opportunity to understand the importance of infection control and employee safety in the work environment.

 Angela E Simmons, CDA, CPFDA, NREMT-B, BS

Angela has 18 years of experience in the dental field.  She spent over 7 years working clinically as a Certified Dental Assistant before taking a position as a Dental Assisting Educator/Director with the North Carolina Community College System.  Angela also taught courses in Radiology and Coronal Polishing for the Southern Regional Area Health Education Center, and served as a Consultant for the Commission on Dental Accreditation.  Angela received her Bachelor of Science in Health Services Management from East Carolina University.  She recently completed a course to become an Emergency Medical Technician, and successfully passed both the North Carolina State and National Registry.  Angela’s clinical, managerial and teaching experience make her a great candidate to provide employee safety and patient privacy training for TMC clients throughout the Virginia, Maryland and Washington DC area.  Her experience in both the clinical and educational settings provides her the insight and ability to identify safety and privacy issues that can occur in both medical and dental offices.  As part of ongoing education, each year TMC consultants receive annual training updates to review the basics of OSHA regulations which impact employee safety. Additional monthly staff meetings allow for immediate communication of any regulatory changes impacting educational requirements.
